Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Greensboro, North Carolina!

Greensboro, named after the Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene, is in the center of the Piedmont, the rolling green region between the Appalachian Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, which Thomas Jefferson called "the Eden of the United States." Dolly Madison was from Greensboro, and William Sydney Porter, pen-named O. Henry, also lived and wrote here. One of the more important supply centers of the Confederacy, the terms of surrender between the Union's General Johnston and Jefferson Davis were finalized in Greensboro. As the center of the North Carolina textile industry Greensboro continues to be the commercial hub for the tri-city area called the Piedmont Triad, which includes nearby Winston-Salem with its tobacco industry, and High Point, one of the world's furniture capitals.
